The Hub welcomes Big Lunch Extras!

We’re delighted to be hosting the Eden Project’s Big Lunch Extras Wolverhampton Roadshow here at The Hub on Sat 1st and Sun 2nd November!

Activities will include lantern making, film making and a bid writing workshop, plus other stuff to help you make positive things happen in your community.

What is Big Lunch Extras?

Big Lunch Extras is a three-year programme delivered by the Eden Project, funded by the Big Lottery Fund and partnered by Halifax to help individuals across the UK create positive change within their communities.

The programme helps develop people’s skills, build their confidence and help spark new ideas that could make a difference where they live, through a series of inspirational events, free web resources and an online Community chat area.

The programme is all about inviting people to do something more within their community – and together to start tackling the issues that matter most to them.

What’s the Wolverhampton Roadshow?

The event held at The Hub on Sat 1st and Sun 2nd November called ‘Making things happen’ is a two-day camp offering a mixture of practical activities, facilitated sessions and networking opportunities – an ideal follow-up event for Big Lunch Extras participants who live near Wolverhampton, or a great way to dip your toe into the programme to see if it’s for you.

We’ve called this two-day event ‘Making things happen’, because it’s designed to help you make things happen in your community. Activities are shaping up nicely: a bid-writing workshop, plus 1:1 surgeries; a film-making workshop; a craft-making session; a lantern-making session and more!

The event runs from 10am until 10.30pm on the Saturday, then from 10am until 1pm on the Sunday.
