Everyone at Ashmore Park CA / The Hub is deeply shocked & saddened by the news that our longstanding Chairwoman Ann Wood passed away last week.

Ann had been ill for some time, although we had seen more of her in the last couple of weeks as she’d visited The Hub after a long absence.

Ann was the leading light of the Community Association for over 10 years and her passion and determination has made the organisation what it is today.

Several people have described her as ‘the Mother of The Hub’ and we think that’s pretty fitting. The gap she leaves in our hearts and our community will never be filled.

We have a condolence book in the cafe at The Hub for anyone who would like to sign it.

More details will be posted when we have them – but for now we’d like to pass on our heartfelt condolences to Ann’s husband Derek and the rest of the family.
